It’s time to become an MVP!

teamastry Mar 03, 2022

Being an impact player means that you strive to be the MVP. You want everyone to know that you are indeed the most valuable player in the office. Your goal should be to become the team member that people look up to and emulate; This is a sure-fire way to move up within the company.

Every company has gaps; being an impact player means that once you've finished your tasks, you actively fill in any of the holes. There will always be slack when running a functioning and successful organization. As an MVP, it would be best to jump into action when you notice the slack. As a team member for a company, it is your #1 responsibility to help both your team and the company solve problems faced from day to day.

Being an impact player means that you are committed to the team; you're paying attention throughout the entire session when there are meetings. Being an MVP means that when you are having a hard day in your personal life, no one who crosses your path while at work knows that you're not feeling 100-percent. But it also means that you take care of yourself to perform at your best in both your career and personal life.

When you start your workday, do you think about how much impact you bring to the team? You might affect the team but is it a positive or negative impact? The goal always is to have a positive effect on the team. You want to be the team member that people want on their team, hands down.

All in all, being an impact player means that you're not self-focused when you start your day. It means that you're selfless and willing to do whatever it takes to help the company reach the desired benchmarks. Imagine what the company could be once every team member is at MVP status? You'll be unstoppable; that much is guaranteed.
