Accountability never loses its value

teamastry Apr 06, 2022

Of the 5 Fundamentals of Success we've already gone over, the 6th fundamental is the backbone that will allow you and your team to follow through on your team development journey. The second to last fundamental of the seven is Accountability. Once you hold yourself accountable, with the help of your teammates, you won't allow yourself to slack on the Fundamentals of Success as you all navigate your workweek.

Hold yourself accountable to continuously improve on the previous fundamentals and anything else you all set your mind to accomplish. Maybe it's within your team or your closest work friend; having an accountability partner will keep the Fundamentals of Success top of mind. Besides, it's more enjoyable to make a competition out of it. For instance, you and your accountability partner can compare who stuck with their Power of Two each day or listened to the most podcasts to develop your Winner's Mindset. Those are just a couple of ways to integrate the Fundamentals of Success into your lifestyle.

Whether you are developing your Winning Mindset, becoming an Impact Player, working on your Power of 2, solidifying Habits & Rituals, or Continuing to Improve, having an accountability partner will allow you to keep working on all of the Fundamentals of Success daily. Becoming the best and hardest working version of yourself is a constant battle between your past, present, and future. 'Present' you will always have a choice that will either align with the past version of yourself or the future version of yourself. Holding yourself accountable in those moments can make sure you choose the option to make the future you proud.

This Week's Activity: (Use this form to answer the following questions)

  • How can you develop an Accountability Partner?
  • How would you and your partner keep each other accountable?
  • How can you keep yourself accountable when your partner isn't available?

We've talked about Accountability several times before, but it never loses importance. Again, pairing up with someone else to work on your personal development in a team setting is a great way to improve your work-life collectively, but you'll also see improvement in your personal life. I'm rooting for you all!
